1. Announcement:June release 118.6 - General feedback - in EVE Information Portal [original thread]
I don't understand the fixed mission types and being different for each capsuleer design for the serpentis event. For example my newbro scanning alt has all combat + mining goals to go for but no relevant skills so i cannot participate. My industr...

2. While siggy is down - why not checkout Tripwire? - in Wormholes [original thread]
Is there any (known) way a previous corp member could access his old corps tripwire? Some strange behaviour prompts the question : chains vanishing while 2 of our us tz guys were online and when i look at the chains today they don't look the same ...

3. Ubuntu16.04LTS error - in Linux [original thread]
You may need to install the 32bit libs (to linux as opposed to the eve dir). Installing playonlinux or wine will bundle in the extras. ubuntu/debian/mint/derivatives : sudo apt-get install wine opensuse : sudo zypper in wine

4. CQ custom videos broken? - in Issues, Workarounds & Localization [original thread]
I see a bug with std videos too - it works fine until the first ship ad comes up, at which point the section to disply hull goes grey and it jams on that ship ad. Screenie

5. EVE Launcher for Linux - in Linux [original thread]
Tested on Ubuntu 16.04 and OpenSUSE Tumbleweed, working perfectly on both. As the Tumbleweed installation is quite fresh on my laptop only 'zypper in wine' was needed to run the game proper.

6. Mineral to Ore Calculator - in Science and Industry [original thread]
It's far easier and safer to use a google docs sheet for this type of utility.

8. Playonlinux - in Linux [original thread]
The launchers always iffy under linux - and windows tbh. Set yourselves up a shortcut to the exe for main use and just use the launcher for patches if required :)

9. DX11 - in Linux [original thread]
The thing is, dx11 isn't new. and nor was shader 3 support when it was introduced to EVE. I'm a linux fan myself, and would be distinctly unhappy if I could no longer play EVE with wine. The "but" looming is pretty obvious though - how long will C...

10. Thoughts on GOON Manipulation of T2 BPOs - in Science and Industry [original thread]
Reading this thread you might almost think that forming power bases by successful gameplay (both combat and meta), and making isk from the game mechanics was something unintended by the game design.

11. Thoughts on GOON Manipulation of T2 BPOs - in Science and Industry [original thread]
Well if you're daft enough to sell you t2 bpo's cheap on the basis of another players forum post, you deserve to get gooned :P

13. Performance Issues - in Linux [original thread]
It's been a long time since I did big null fleets but the settings that saved my old pc from meltdownin 300+ local battles were : brackets off (this was the best one, but not always practical depending on your role in the fleet) effects off (all...

14. Challenge for CCP! If you create a SteamOS or Linux client, I will..... - in Linux [original thread]
Ah the bi-monthly 'make a linux native' thread. Hullo :) Basically there was a cedega (commercial wine fork) version. It died a death some time ago. CCP already makes a decent effort to fix bugs under wine and the time required to redo the game as...

18. My survey suggestions.... - in Science and Industry [original thread]
Mineral compression in highsec would be nice for the miners - and a suitably expensive ship to do it in would be nice for everyone else to shoot at :) But not a full blown cap ship.... Probably shouldn't be allowed to operate in a pos either for a...

19. When is Linux going to be Officially supported OS for eve? - in Linux [original thread]
MS was never a division of IBM. IBM, against normal policy, allowed MS to keep the rights to MSDOS. The rest is shoddy quality of release history lol.

20. When is Linux going to be Officially supported OS for eve? - in Linux [original thread]
CCP did officially support a Cedega (commercial wine fork) version of EVE but it was dropped some time ago. The devs do take notice I believe of issues for wine users. While I don't want to flame you for your post, it must be observed that a ver...
